Wild Card Game...Big D....Vs...Little D

                            Vs.

Nightrider

Simple game plan, stop megatron win the game.
BevoMav

Keys to Dallas defense is getting turnovers. When the D gets at least 2 turnovers they are 9-0.

I sort of disagree. The simple key to this game lies with the Cowboys Offensive line vs. the Lions Defensive line. Whoever wins that battle wins the game. If the Boys can dominate the line of scrimmage and hold on to the ball as they have, Megatron won't be on the field enough to make that much of a difference.

Here are my weekend Wild card Predictions;

OK..Here goes for weekend NFL Predictions:

1. Ravens 28 Steelers 24.... The only reason I am going with Baltimore is that their amazing running back got injured last week. Considering how important he was to their offense, they now become one dimensional. These 2 teams always play tight as it is, so this loss could be tragic for the Steelers hopes to advance deep into the playoffs. Big Ben could still lead them to victory Sunday but I think the Ravens now have an edge.

2. Colts 37 Bengals 20....Indy seems to kick *** against most of the AFC second tier teams...especially at home. If it were not for NE and DEN, Indy would be in the SB every year! LOL! Seriously, the Colts can handle any AFC team except for NE and DEN so they will cruise in this one only to lose in the second round once again.

3. Cardinals 17 Panthers 14....Very hard game to pick. Cardinals have a great defense but questions at QB..Panther should not even be in the playoffs but are at home. This will probably be the most boring game of the weekend, but I just cannot root for any team that makes the playoffs with a losing record. So yeah, I am probably biased here.

4. Cowboys 38 Lions 28....Probably the highest scoring game of the weekend. The Cowboys are a very resilient team this year because they have been the best "magicians" hiding and masking a VERY average at best defense. The Cowboys passing defense is not good at all but because the Cowboys offense has been so efficient they have been able hide their defense's mistakes. This is because the Cowboys have possessed the ball more than any other team. So, their defense is well rested and is simply not on the field as much as other team's defenses are. The Cowboys will be able to fake it for another week and outscore the Lions. But after that, it's over for the 2014 Cinderella team.

1. Reread #1 it makes no sense!

2. Bengals defense will keep this game close

3. Panthers have won 4 straight, Cards have lost 4-6 last 6 games, nuff said.

4. Yep its all magic, magic how this defense has kept improving this season.Maybe u should check their last 4 games. Its magic how they are second in the division in turn overs.

Nice shot the way you sneaked your Packers in there, I will admit you cut the odds on this prediction.I hope you are wrong again, keep your streak alive.

You are living in the dark, if you don't think they will go to megatron. The last time we played them it was megatron and his 339 yards that beat us.

Bear in mind the Lions have the #1 run defense, but then ask yourself just how many teams did they play that actually run the ball.

Get those excuses ready Zigo, the Cowboys when they leave Green Bay will be 9-0 on the road.

Give the O-line all the credit you want to they deserve it. But any serious fan can tell you Murray averaged over 5 yards a carry before they all got here.

The big difference was Garrett telling Linahan we are committing to the run this year.

Makes no sense? Says who..you? These are just predictions. Anyone can make them. As for your comment that I am a Packers fan, I have no idea where that is coming from. I just respect Rodgers at home. Of course I want Dallas to win...but I just don't see them having the Defense to carry the load thru the playoffs. As for Megatron, Yeah, I know they are going to him. My point is if Dallas holds onto the ball for a majority of the game as they have in many of them, it won't matter.

Hey Lonestar....I would think that you would be smart enough to realize I meant PITTSBURGH running back obviously since he went down last week.

Sorry don't follow Pittsburgh, but believe me I'm smart enough to type Pittsburgh when I mean Pittsburgh.

Mike Ditka said this morning "the only team who can go into Seattle and beat them is the Cowboys." Sorry he didn't mention GB
Hawk

Okay lets get this back to a Detroit conversation....screw GB until we play them, and that's not a sure thing right now.

And I don't disagree....but FIRST, the Boys will have to BEAT GB if they win tomorrow. I agree the Boys match up better with Seattle, but not necessarily with GB. Rodgers is lights out at home and the Dallas Secondary in the cold of GB could be torched all afternoon long. The problem for GB is they are the total opposite on the road. If the Packers had Seattle in GB, I think Ditka's statement would have been different.  If Dallas can win tomorrow and get by GB, I agree. I will give them a decent chance to win in Seattle. But there are 2 hurdles to worry about before that can even dream of happening.

Yeah well, I don't follow them either but if you are even a casual fan of the game, and I think you are more than that, it's been in the NFL news all week.

Hell of a game, now Tony can go home next week and feast on some cheese.
Desperado

Tale  of 2 halves, glad the defense looked good when we needed them.

Great team effort, we also should get back some other starters next week.

Coaches made great adjustments at half time.
BevoMav

In his post game interview Romo said he threw a lot of balls short because he knew if he didn't make mistakes Detroit would not run away with the game. The maturation process of Tony Romo has been a thing to watch.

Funny how Aikman never caught on to what he was doing. He and Buck kept trashing Tony nearly the entire game. They are not trashing him now.
zigomanis18

Good Win.....

But the Boys need a MUCH better performance next week... I was not impressed by our O line..  6 sacks  on Romo is not impressive.  We never could really get a running game going as we should have because we fell behind so quickly.

I am very proud  of this team and it's heart but you cannot fall behind next week like this or it's curtains.  We CANNOT fall behind against. Murray has to be the force in GB...not Romo throwing from behind. I am proud of Romo but the team has to adjust big time for this game. Detroit is no GBm and we barely survived.
BevoMav

Earth to Zigo..

Detroit has the number two defense in the league. They have given up only one hundred yard rusher all year. We will face a much different defense this week.

earth return to Bevoman...Rodgers is 10X better than Stafford. NO ONE has stopped the Packers at home to include Detroit..and their defense is much better than ours.

If we expect to win this in a shootout..it's goona get ugly. We NEED to start running the ball like we did early in the season and control the ball. The less Rodgers has it...the better.  The more time Rodgers is on the field,,,the more we will suffer. What made Dallas on the map was the running game....which overall has started to decline since Thanksgiving and Romo is picking up the slack.  I do not like this trend.

Zigo you just don't pay attention! GB is 25th against the run, Murray with bad hand and all still rushed for 75 against Det.

For weeks now everything you post has GB in it. Why not wait for the gme day post, and you can slobber all over GB as much as you want.

The O-line looked bad in the first half but in the second they wore Det. down. Thats what good O-lines do, Tony lays down causing sacks, but if like dumbass Aikman kept saying, "he should throw the ball away". Well then he would still be taking hits, right to the ribs.

I like the way your boy Rogers is good at home and average on the road. Must be he has his blankey and binky at home. But guess what...we are as good on the road as your Baby Boy is at home. Now try and save some of your crappola for the GB game thread.

Let the rest of us enjoy our win, if you think Romo can't come from behind in cheese town, you need to check his record.

Hawk...I enjoy the win....but I am concerned that we seriously struggled against a team that is not nearly the level of GB or Seattle.
