Source - Dallas is releasing Ware

He asked them to make a decision by 3 PM today and they accommodated him.

I will miss him but I am glad Dallas is doing the right thing.

As of 3:12 PM the Cowboys officially released Ware..

Ware, through a source, feels scorned and bitter.

I feel relieved.

Adios     Good Luck

Thanks for helping us with the cap haha

Not a good business decision, but this whole thing soured me on Ware.

Lets keep on keepin on

I'm glad its over and we can just move forward. They are supposed to address Hatcher today. Give him a 1 year deal if he doesn't take it goodbye.

JJ is not making these decisions without input from his coaches. WE will have to see what the young back-ups can do now. Selvie looked good last year and should improve. They were very high on Crawford until his injury.

I believe Wilbur played DE and OLB, we do have young back-ups in place. Now its time for the coaches to get busy. WE have some free agent money, and can draft some talent.

Those crying about Ware leaving I understand that, but it was time to take a walk. JJ did say the door is open for Ware to still return.

Some are reporting falsely that Cowboys will have dead money in 2015 for Ware.

Wrong! He will count $7.5 million against this years cap and ZERO in 2015.

I am also reading Hatcher is out there visiting and is telling guys he played with he is gone. NO and Cleveland have shown interest.

Cowboys now must sign a DE or two. Not a need but a must..first stated by Todd Archer.

Update:

I just read where the Cowboys are working on a deal for Bears DT Henry Melton. There is mutual interest and it could happen quickly. Melton is Jason Hatcher but only 28. Coming off a leg injury but he is said to be healed and ready for training camp.

Then word is to get a DE in draft..

All speculation but it does make sense.

By the time the Cowboys have to get under the cap in March, there will be more dead money added after players are released. If the Cowboys cut DeMarcus Ware, they would have $8.5 million in dead money dedicated to Ware, but the move would save them nearly $7.4 million in cap space.

OOPs you said 1215   My Bad

Cutting Ware with a post-June 1 designation would result in $3.25375 million in dead money for 2014, along with another $5.31775 million in 2015.  Cutting Ware without the post-June 1 designation would result in $8.5715 million hitting the cap in 2014.
No more dead money after that on Ware.

So by cutting players JJ has lost at least 14 mil in the last 2 yrs, and Spencer made 10 mil for doing nothing

True, that's what so different with the release of Ware. All the dead money is for this year and not next, like the rat puke Ratliff.

I read a Twitter post that the Ratliff money with the Cowboys is far from over. Dallas is letting it play out but they are not going to just let it go. They believe he was deceitful about his injury. Rather hard to disagree when he is cut by Dallas and plays for the Bears almost immediately.

Now Hatcher is acting exactly like Ratliff acted in his seeming hatred for Dallas. How quick they forget who payed them for all those years?

It's also why Ware, Hatcher and Ratliff will be broke in a few years. They burnt some brigdges in Dallas. I wish all of them the worst fate.

The other forums are in full blown feeding frenzy, just reading the crap drives me crazy.

They are reporting today also, no way will Spencer even be ready for camp when it starts. Let this guy walk, why is Dallas even interested in keeping him?
Desperado

This starting to be exactly what JG did when he blew up the OL. I hope we have better luck with the DL.

As for Spencer vet minimum, with incentives if he comes back. I honestly think the Cowboys want him around since they have lost all their defensive leaders.

I think Ware ends up in Oakland or with somebody who plays the 3-4,anybody else got a guess?

This is just getting nuttier. Seems the Cowboys and Ware have a deal in place, but Ware is going to see if he can get a better one?

According to source, Jerry Jones' mouth, Ware guaranteed Jerry a right to match if he gets an offer?

On the Cowboys and Jerry Jones could be this weird?

JJ has himself involved in a bidding war, Ware can shop JJ's number, how stupid is that.

DeMarcus Ware - DL - Free Agent
NFL.com's Ian Rapoport reports free agent DE/OLB DeMarcus Ware is already drawing interest from "six playoff teams."

There's debate over how much Ware, 32 in July, has left in the tank, but it doesn't sound like he's going to be on the open market for long. Ware has averaged nearly a sack per game during his nine-year career, and missed only three lifetime contests. Of course, all three came in 2013, where Ware registered a career-low six sacks

I can't believe the garbage I'm reading in cyber space. All kinds have turned on Ware, JJ, and now Romo. The haters of Austin have gotten off him and turned their hatred toward others.

These people are just posers not real fans....makes me want to puke.

Yes JJ left the door open for Ware, but at what price, he has 9mil of cap space, and ****** keep saying give him 7-8 mil to come back. So how the hell does that work out. I guess you could promise some of Austins savings after June 1st...good luck on all that BS.

The feeding frenzy is alive and doing well today against Austin.

The #Cowboys have not officially released Miles Austin but he is here at the practice facility as we speak. @NFL_ATL @nflnetwork

Once this info came out the bandwagoners are going nuts lmao
BevoMav

Keyboard thugs..

I see Ware has signed with Denver. They paid a lot of money for a guy who has trouble staying healthy.

but...I wish him the best.
