Media is clueless - Cowboys Related

The Cowboys are going to be the number three seed in the NFC. Is there a glimpse of hope. Did you see Dumb and Dumber?

Now comes the "clueless" part. A question. When has Dallas played the best? If you say after Romo has been rested, you win a chance at an autographed BevoMav photo.

but...the media is saying they must play the starters to keep the continuity going, when all the evidence shows that to be bullsh*t.

I only need one piece of the evidence to make the point. The first week of the playoffs is called Wild Card Weekend. The top two teams get a bye into the next round. If continuity mattered, why would the teams with a bye win over 90% of the games, as opposed to the team that played during their bye week?

It's true that a big part is the teams with a bye play at home and are in the top two because they are one of the two best teams in their conferences. Still if not playing had any adverse effect wouldn't it show up here?

To end a long story. I play everyone but none would play the entire game. Murry would not touch the field and Romo might play a few series, but that's about it. Rest and avoiding injury is more important than keeping so called continuity.

Murray should play until he gets Emmitts record. After that its up to JJ, and JG.

I would point out that there have been a few wild card teams to win the SB. The excuse has always been that the other team came out rusty from the time off.

But its true Romo has looked sharp when given the rest his back needs.

I think there are to many variables for me to call this one. But Jason said everybody will play against the Redskins.
El Kabong

Starters play 1 quarter then empty the bench. But the Skins know Murray wants that record, I hope our O-line gets it quick for him, with some big holes.

I wonder what Red Genius will tell the world if the Redskins max blitz Romo and break some more bones in his back?

Gentlemen, I am split on this. I totally agree that the chances of Seattle Losing is slim to none...BUT, there is always a chance. St Louis has been very spunky this year...Just ask Denver. I think it's a GREAT chance that Arizona loses to SF on the road, so now we are down to one game. It would really be ironic and you know ESPN would be all over the Cowboys if Dallas tanks the game and then St Louis pulls off the upset.

As long as there is a chance, I think you have to play it out. Plus, I'd hate losing to RG loser and the Deadskins again.

I don't like the idea of losing to a scrub team like Wash. But fortunately I don't get to make the call---Thank God lol

Sorry Bevo, but there is a real good chance Garrett is a genius, I'm glad he'll be staying.

Well, instead of tanking the game like most here wanted, we played with fervor and destroyed and embarrassed the deadskins. Plus, we were 1 quarter away from a first round bye. SF did beat Arizona, and Seattle was tied 6-6 going into the 4th. I didn't happen, but you NEVER quit if there is a chance.

No one said anything about tanking. We could have beaten the Skins with our starters on the bench.

We got lucky that no one got hurt in a meaningless game.

Melton re-injured himself and is not expected back until SB game. LB Hitchens was injured and won't be back.

Melton placed on IR, he's done for the season.
