D-Murray

I want to give him his own thread instead of merging this with Bryant.

Beware the evil empire (the media) they are trying to drag Murray into the Bryant situation now.

People say "hey he's been injured to much" I even read where some ***** talked about college and HS. Its called propaganda by the ******.

Hey Murray is only doing good because of this O-Line, oops he's still averaging what he has seasons before this one. Big difference is they are running the ball this season.

Now how about Murray, does he get top 3 top 5 running back money? Oh yeah, he's not talking about his contract in the media.

Bevo mentioned Dez is on a 1300 yrd pace. I'm pretty sure Murray is already at 1300 with running and catching. So who is really more important to the Cowboys?

Cowboys at this point would be ****** to sign either guy. There's a ton of season left, and I'm talking playoffs to. My feelings are wait and see who's standing at the end of the season. Then Talk New Deals
Hawk

Everybody is talking about contracts and they aren't coming until much later on. The media is doing this as usual for their selfish gains.

What people should be really asking is...what about Garrett and his coaches? There are 3-4 guys left on this team from when Garrett took over. Sorry to say for the Garrett haters this is Jason"s bunch.

JJ may just be making his biggest mistake ignoring his coaching staff. These guys are going to get offers and lots of them from other teams. Guess what JG can probably take his whole staff elsewhere. Sign Bryant to whatever he wants and Garrett could probably get a shtload of his own players elsewhere.

That's a scenario that I don't really see happening at this time. But Bryant has been offered more than he's worth already. Bryant is not smart enough to understand cap anything. He wants to be like Mike, he wants to be an Icon. Gee I'm sorry but I read over and over, why doesn't this guy get the ball or that guy get it. DUH there are only so many plays in a game. Send Dez packing and you would have others getting the ball.

I'd franchise Bryant, and then see if teams are willing to give up the 2 1st rounds they'd need to get him.

I've been saying for sometime Murray is the man, even now fans are still putting this guy down. If Murray is still standing at the end of the season, give him a good 3 yr deal, financial security for life. He won't be wanting Jet set or playboy money just security.

But fans should wakeup, Garrett is not going to let Bryant's contract blow up his team. Save the Dez money and continue to build the defense. Or keep Dez and cut Witten it will be one or the other.
Desperado

JJ claims this whole thing is not a distraction. Well if I'm one of the dozen FA's, I know I'm talking with my family an friends. I sure as hell would not be happy with what's being said in the media.

Here we are in the middle of an exciting season, not seen since 2007 and we are stuck reading this crap everyday. I can only say for myself, its ruining my season!
El Kabong

Stays healthy, reward this guy, have always liked him a lot.
Nightrider

Cowboys have treated him like a Redheaded step child. What he is making is like vet minimum.

Murray is in the final year of his four-year rookie contract averaging $743,360 per year. The 2011 third-round pick started the season with eight straight games of 100 or more rushing yards to break Jim Brown’s 56-year-old NFL record of six consecutive games to start a season. Murray is just off the pace to become the eighth running back in NFL history to rush for 2,000 yards in a season. At his current rate, he will gain 1,973 yards on 390 carries.

Murray’s terrific start to the season prompted the Cowboys to reportedly offer him a four-year extension worth more than the top running back deals signed during free agency ($4 million per year). It is unlikely Murray will capitalize on his success as much as he could at other positions because of the recent devaluing of running backs.
Under a more favorable running back economic climate, Murray would be justified in seeking a four or five-year extension, averaging in excess of $10 million per year and containing $20 million in guarantees, which is line with the average of the top five veteran running back deals, with the type of season he is having.

Its mind boggling, you have a RB who is going to break Emmitt Smiths single season rushing record. fans are saying yeah well he has this great O-line.

Kiss my azz, an O-line of young guys and Free. But mention the 90's Cowboys and the same fans will tell you they had the greatest O-line ever. JJ better take care of this guy, if he shts on him I'm really through ever saying anything good about JJ.

No WRer who's won nothing is worth a 100 Mil, thats friggin idiotic. Megatron goes down and the Lions win 3 straight without him, imagine that. You will truly shame the great WRers who played for the Cowboys if you over pay Bryant.

Its simple then it gets real complicated. 20 FA's. Some will test the market others are not eligible to do that yet. I see us saying goodbye to Spencer, and Melton will probably get a better offer elsewhere. Even Free will probably test the Market.

Dez Bryant turned down an offer that to me was more than I would ever pay. Actually I felt somewhere in the Lines of the Roy Williams contract. But I'm sure I'd be called stupid for that idea.

I've been around to long to pay Bryant the kings ransom he wants. I hope they can make a deal, a deal that all can live with.

Actually its 25 FAs 5 of them are on the practice squad. Plus I think Carr will have to renegotiate or we cut him. We have been in cap hell for so long, and now that we can see the light at the end of the tunnel.

40% of the starting 53 are going to be FA,s, so to all the know it alls who say pay Bryant what he wants. Well I hope him and Romo can win games by themselves. Plus I hope Garrett just moves on to another team, he doesn't deserve this to happen.

According to Mike Fisher:

Murray if he gets his 1800+ yards this year will be gone. Cowboys will not pay him what he's earned.
BluenSilver4evr

I would give him a 3-4 year contract, hell he's only 26 yrs old.
