Cowboys Worst Signing Ever

Jay Ratliff was given a new contract by Jerry, and the thing is, it was unnecessary. He had a year remaining on his contract, but had been injured.

Ratliff got $18 million and for that money, Dallas got zero plays by the former pro bowler.

I never thought I would see a worse contract than the one given to WR Roy Williams? I was wrong and today the Cowboys released Jay, saying he failed a physical.

The team will save $690 thousand this season, but suffer a $6.92 million hit on next season's cap.

Did the Cowboys ever have a guy just quit like Rat did? Haters will be talking about this for years, this man has no honor, glad he's gone.

I have mixed feelings about Ratliff, he played his *** off at NT and he was always to small. The 4-3 was supposed to help him, and like Spencer Kiffin needed him badly.

But before I condemn him I want the whole story as to what really happened.

The story, he let himself down, he yelled at and pushed the owner, he let his teammates down, he got a DUI a week after Brent killed his friend in a drunk driving incident. What more story do you need, the guy quit on everybody, and the Comish was just waiting for him to play so he could suspend his ***, end of story.

Not really the story, I hear an attorney is already involved, stay tuned for the real information.

I read in a few places that the real story hasn't come out yet, and everybody so far is staying quiet.

I still don't think this even comes close to the Roy Williams deal JJ made. Or the Joey Galloway fiasco.

Defensive tackle Jay Ratliff’s season may not be over after all.

Ed Werder of ESPN reports that Ratliff is in Philadelphia to be evaluated by Dr. William Myers to see if he can try out for teams interested in signing him this season. Per Werder, six teams have contacted Ratliff about a possible return and Ratliff believes others will be interested if Myers gives him a clean bill of health.

It’s a surprising turn of events because Ratliff’s agent Mark Slough said at the time of his release that the injury Ratliff suffered last December was serious enough that the Cowboys knew he might miss close to a year before he’d be able to return. Slough also said that Ratliff intended to play in 2014, suggesting that a return this year was not in the cards.

And it might not be, but the interest of other teams is reportedly enough to have him get another opinion before deciding for sure

NFL Network said he's been cleared to start practicing again. Clearly something has to be done about this. He refused a physical with the Cowboys, his agent clearly said, in writing. That Ratliff would not be ready, because of his injuries to play for a year.

This guy should be sent to prison. There are laws against defrauding people out of their money. Its pretty obvious this guy is a fraud
