Cowboys Vs. Eagles

Where: Lincoln Financial Field - Philadelphia, PA
When: 1:00 PM ET October 20th, 2013

What's At Stake? - Lead for the division.

Nightrider

I think Cowboys will go through these guys like butter, 38-13
Desperado

We will find out just how good the kids we have on defense are. All the old men are gone, except the coaches.
Hawk

The Eagles coach will do his hurry up offense, and try and wear out the D. With our lack of depth on the DL, this will be a real test for the Defense.

Of course I still pick us to win, but its going to be tough.

Callahan puts some possibilities out there for Cowboys' backfield against Eagles

Offensive coordinator Bill Callahan said the Cowboys will use definitely use rookie Joseph Randle on Sunday, and maybe in new ways.

“We’re going to use him intelligently,” Callahan said Thursday at Valley Ranch. “We’ll put him in different spots, different locations and kind of change him from what he’s been doing from a scheme standpoint.”

Callahan might just be throwing a smokescreen at the Philadelphia Eagles. He also left open the idea that DeMarco Murray, sidelined last week by a sprained knee, and Lance Dunbar, out two weeks with a hamstring injury, might play.

“We’ll see what happens by tomorrow, see if we can’t get one up for the game,” Callahan said.

Phillip Tanner could also get action at running back, and Callahan said tight end James Hanna might play a role, also.

“Of course, it’s important that they continue to play well on special teams,” Callahan said. “Phillip has been instrumental in that phase of the game. He continues to be. James Hanna has been in the backfield a little bit as a protecting guy. We’ve got some guys that can roll in there, help if need be.”

I think the Cowboys lose to the Eagles. I think the difference is Murry and, don't forget Dunbar, are out.

Romo is going to throw 40-50 times and when he does, they lose.

The division will come down to the last game, but this time it is at home.

If Romo throws 40-50 times he'll have another 500yrd day against the Eagles weak secondary.

Cowboys need to contain McCoy and its a done deal. I guess you have no faith in Randle, and Tanner?

None what so ever.

I'm very interested to see how Randle will do Sunday. He's a bruising RB, but has really shown to not be elusive so far.

If Romo is on, there is no way in hell Foles can keep up the pace. Our STs have been very good, which will come into play a lot in this game.

Tanner is elusive and hits the hole quick, we just don't want to see him fumble. Our WRers should have another big day.

We brought up another DE from the practice squad for rotation. The Cowboys ran the Philly offense in practice all week.So they are used to the fast pace. The defense has been fitted with arm bands so the plays can be called out without a defensive huddle.

Cowboys have played 2 undefeated teams, and should have won both those games. Philly played them also, gee they didn't do so well.

I suspect half of Cowboy nation is afraid to pick the Cowboys to win. They have had a way of losing games they should win.

If I was a professional gambler, for sure I'd be looking at the odds. Since I'm not, I have nothing to lose, and can always see a way Cowboys will win the game. Then I back what I have to say with facts and stats.

Always on Romo? It's why this team stays a perpetual 8-8. Never on the defense, coaches, oline, running backs. It's always on Romo. Sigh!
Hawk

Romo did very little against the Redskins and we won. I was not saying at all the game hinges on Romo, I think I pointed out all the factors.

Foles is no Peyton, so I added in the fact if Romo is on, no way can Foles keep up.

Exactly right, it is all on Romo today, he has to score and score a lot. But his WRers need to catch the ball and not drop it. If you make a 100mil you better be able to carry the load.

The Eagles have over 400yrds in every game this year, no other team has ever done this. Expect them to do it again against the Cowboys.
Hawk

So far Romo nothing....and this no name defense is kicking ***
Nightrider

refs are killing us
Hawk

Romo is not having a good day...the Eagles are running right through our line

9 penalties in the 1st half, what ya gonna do
Nightrider

Cowboys start the 2nd half with the football, now they will start to roll
Hawk

I hope you are right

Pretty poor play by both teams, but it certainly looks like we are the toughest in this weak division.  The Redskins are playing a real good (offensive) game against the Bears, but Chicago (MartyB just scored) is in position to win.

Again, I am more concerned with an intense and healthy Cowboys team in December.

Next couple games look pretty easy, and I would like us to sit a couple questionable guys.  It would be nice if we loaded up against the Saints prior to the bye.
Hawk

Well I miss your postings, sometime you are to only troll we have here, lmao....hope you are having a good day.
1adam12

It's my birthday, of course I had a good day.

By "troll", you must mean "realistic".  I can tell from your posts, that you 'get it', you just won't allow yourself to acknowledge some things.  I don't see why I would catch flack for being correct about stuff, but it only happens here, so I guess I'm just fine with it.  Besides, I like it when you keep jabbering and I keep being right!

What?  You want more right?  Okay...  I'll make a post.
zigomanis18

Gentlemen, considering all our defensive injuries,,,,this team has shown LOTS of defensive heart the last 2 weeks. Gotta get healthy moving forward though.
LoneStar

Way to late for anybody to get healthy this week, its going to be no name DL again.
