Linebacker Dekoda Watson made his first start of the season on Sunday for the Jaguars, against the Cowboys. The Jaguars apparently didn’t like what they saw; Watson was cut after the game.
The Cowboys apparently liked what they saw. Per a league source, they’re signing Watson today.
Watson arrived in Jacksonville via free agency, on a deal that paid $1.5 million guaranteed. After battling a groin injury in the offseason and training camp, he appeared in nine of 10 games, culminating in Sunday’s start at Wembley Stadium.

Defensive lineman Josh Brent spoke to the media on Wednesday for the first time since returning to the Cowboys’ active roster after the end of the 10-game suspension he served to start the season.
Brent’s suspension came after he he served the jail sentence handed down for his conviction on intoxication manslaughter charges for the December 2012 car wreck that took the life of Brent’s friend and Cowboys teammate Jerry Brown.
Brent said he wants to always remain conscious of what he did so that Brown’s name “does not die in vain,” which includes understanding how lucky he is to have a chance to resume his career.
“I’m a very blessed person to be able to be in this position I am now,” Brent said, via ESPNDallas.com. “I’m just thankful that the commissioner, the Jones family and the Cowboys organization have allowed me to come back and be a part of this team.
It’s been very difficult. It’s something that there’s not an exact formula of how to be successful with this. It’s just something I take daily and try to do the best I can.”
Cowboys executive vice president Stephen Jones said that the motives behind bringing Brent back are “strictly about football” and they wouldn’t be working with him if they didn’t think he could help on the field, particularly as a run stopper on the interior.
He can start doing that in Week 12 when the Cowboys return from their bye week, although it’s not clear at this point if he’ll be ready to play.

We have seen plenty of notable comebacks from on-field injuries this season, but the story of defensive tackle Amobi Okoye’s return to the NFL might be the most remarkable of all.
It looks like it will end without Okoye playing in a game, however. Todd Archer of ESPN reports that the Cowboys will not add Okoye to the active roster on Thursday, the final day they are eligible to do so before Okoye reverts to injured reserve for the remainder of the season.
Okoye last played in 2012 and was diagnosed last year with anti-NMDA receptor encephalitis, a brain condition that led him to be placed in a medically-induced coma for three months and lose 78 pounds. He was placed on the non-football illness list heading into training camp and began practicing three weeks ago, but progress hasn’t come quickly enough for him to play this season.
Okoye’s return to the field for a game was always a long shot this season, but just making it a possibility shows how far Okoye has come since his illness. He’ll likely continue working for a chance to take the final step in his comeback come 2015.
Cowboys' Murray, Smith, Frederick, Martin, Bailey Recognized In Early...vote
NFL Pro Bowl balloting is underway, and the NFL announced the leading vote-getters for the 2015 Pro Bowl. Five Cowboys are among the leading vote-getters at their positions in the 2015 Pro Bowl...
Romo should be on this list, I also bet this is a real shocker for Bryant. But a lot of season is left and things could turn around.
Looks like the Cowboys are ready for a run, and I love the fact after the bye we won't have couch potatoes on the field this year.
Stay healthy I could see us winning out the last 6 games.

Jerry Jones on @1053thefan: I really never felt like we left the US. The enthusiasm for the #Cowboys never ceases to amaze me.
Jerry Jones on @1053thefan: Dez's contract is not a distraction at all. It doesn't even distract Dez, let alone the front office.
Dez's contract is a meaningful one because it will impact our salary cap and put together a good team.
Dez is a loyal guy, and we're loyal guys. RE: Dez's "don't test my loyalty" line.
I've had a lot of inordinate personal interaction with Dez Bryant, more than any other player in team history.
I've visited with Dez specifically about this business every since he became a Cowboy -- every aspect.
It's an advantage that I've done a lot of "geeing and hawing" with Dez ahead of his contract negotiations.
I've seen in Dez a commitment to come up with a common solution for his contract.
I've been in communication with Dez's new negotiation team.
"You can't teach LB instincts." You can't play it without a nose for it. RE: Anthony Hitchens.
We think Anthony Hitchens is an instinctive player.
I'm not seeing Romo getting shortchanged for playing with limitations and injury. He's recognized.
What is amazing is that Romo can play well when he's not in his best shape.
The only thing anyone could be critical of Romo is he hasn't won a Super Bowl, or even come close.
We've come a lot closer to knocking on the door of a Super Bowl with Romo than people give us credit.
We didn't think this would be the year Romo would get a Super Bowl, but you surely can't dismiss it.
We're going to have some fun here the next 6 ballgames.
We'll have Rolando McClain back Saturday. I'm looking forward to getting Josh Brent back.
We need to bolster up that middle of the DL. Spencer and Lawrence were getting better.
We've got a chance to get better defensively.
Tyler Patmon may not get back by Thanksgiving.
DeMarcus Lawrence has hit the ground running. He used the off-time to change his body.
Every time DeMarcus Lawrence steps on the field, he's improving. He has that slipperiness and burst.

Jerry Jones on @1053thefan: Dez Bryant contract talks are not a distraction. "It deserves the kind of attention we're giving it."

"He's seen it in me, and I've seen it in him, the ability to come in here and come up with a solution that's best for the team" - JJ on Dez
"I'm lookin forward to havin Josh Brent, he's gotta earn a jersey, but I think he'll earn a jersey." -Jerry Jones
Stress free weekend. Get to throw on the Sunday ticket and watch a bunch of teams play like crap.
Watch them pass inside the 5, waste time outs, have stupid penalties, fail to run the clock out, pass more than run, drop passes, missed tackles, go 3 & out, etc., etc, etc.
Watch some favorites lose, some favorites barely lose and a couple win convincingly but still not play a perfect game. You know the same things our fans complain about like it is exclusive to the Dallas Cowboys?
Best friggin bye week ever
